Front End Web Developer

Description
Los Angeles based Internet Brands, Inc., the owner of category leading sites such as DoItYourself.com, WikiTravel.org, CarsDirect.com, UltimateCoupons.com and more, is currently seeking Front-End Developers.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate enthusiasm for and expertise in clean, semantic, accessible, interoperable html that validates, as well as ability to leverage some of these concepts to promote increased search engine visibility.

Beyond markup, qualified candidates will demonstrate outstanding mastery of CSS to execute on advanced designs, as well as in-depth understanding of JavaScript, selectively applying advanced inheritance patterns to build solutions that are fast, efficient, extensible, and appropriately tailored to the most advanced requirements in usability and functionality.

Candidates must be prepared to provide code samples, and/or write code during the interviewing process.

Ideal Skills:

* Strong communication skills.
* Experience working in teams.
* Demonstrated mastery in HTML, CSS and native Javascript.
* Experience with one or more server-side languages such as PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.
* Familiarity and proven track-record dealing with Win/IE and other browser quirks in CSS and DOM.
* Demonstrated XmlHttpRequest mastery.
* Demonstrated DOM mastery.
* Demonstrated DOM Events mastery.
* Familiarity with Cross-Site Scripting issues.
* Strong understanding of HTTP.
* Familiarity with Source-Control: svn, git.
